For our July 4th weekend we went to the beach. The beach is Half Moon Bay Yacht Club beach. We purchased a sail boat and have rights to use the yachting beach. It is quite nice and not nearly as crowded as the regular Aramco beach. That Thursday is was about 118+ and there was a very strong very very very very hot wind. We took a couple of guy here whose wives won't get here for a couple of months. We had a great time. The guys got out Mike's boat and each tried sailing a bit. I sat on the beach reading. But it began to get much to hot for me. I ended up starting to get sick. Even though I was drinking a lot, it was still very dry and hot and I couldn't get cooled down. We learned that the middle of the afternoon is not the time to go to the beach. At least not in the middle of the summer.
Since I forgot to take my camera here are some pictures from the first time we went with friends. This picture is of us ready to go.
This next one is Mike trying out one of the club boats. It was a chance for him to see if he was interested in getting a boat of his own and joining the club. He did pretty good mostly.
Until he got turned over. Then he had trouble getting the boat turned back over. The patrol boat had to come help him get it turned back up then he did great.
I had to include this picture. All public beaches have rules that are posted. Well I couldn't help but take a picture of this one rule. Please note rule #8. It is classic.
