TURKEY Part 11 -- Day 6

For lunch we went to a Caravanseri in the side of the hill that had been turned into a restaurant. This was some of the best food we had the entire trip. Here is the entrance.
This is the main room with the tables set in the side chambers.
Here are the side niches with the tables.
After lunch we went to see the "Fairy Towers". These are cliffs that have weathers into very interesting formations. They weather this way because of the different layers of stone they are made of. Here are some of the first we saw.
This one looked a lot like a camel.
This one reminded me very much of the Sound of Music scene. It is called Kissing Rock.
Here we are in front of some of the towers.
This is one formation we saw that had houses built into the sides. People would occupy the holes in these towers as their homes or sometimes even churches.

Wow, the things you've seen. I've enjoyed your travels from the comfort of my home. What's the temperature there? You're wearing t-shirts so I guess pretty warm.
