On the cliff above the calcium deposits the Hellenists and Greeks and then the Romans built a city. After walking on the calcium terraces we took a beautiful stroll through the Roman ruins of Hieropolis. the sun was low on the horizon and the air crisp and cool. It was a very beautiful setting. There were no other people around but our group so we could take our time. There was a beautiful feeling about the place. Mike took the camera and took a ton of pictures in the beautiful lighting. Here are just a very few for you to enjoy.
That night we stayed at a hotel build over some hot springs. We took a dip in the actual thermal pools. They were brown in color due to the minerals in the water, but very warm. After we went to the swimming pool size hot tub. While everyone else swam in the hot tub, I went for a massage. It was a very relaxing evening and we slept great that night.
