TURKEY Part 7 - Day 3

After Ephesus, we went to lunch at another very nice restaurant.
Following lunch we went to see the remains of the Temple of Artemis. There really wasn't much to see, just this column and the field.
Then we went up the mountain to see the house where John supposedly brought Mary to live out her last days. It is a very small place that is now a Catholic Shrine. No pictures were allowed inside. But here is the entrance.
This is the wall below the house. People leave notes and messages there believing they will be answered and blessed.
We continued our drive through the countryside. We got to look out over Ephesus and Selchuk and the Aegean.
Our hotel room had a beautiful view of the sea from the balcony. Here is a panoramic shot I took of the view.The view made for a very beautiful sunset . . .
And sunrise the next morning.
